Welcome to Sage & Solitude Glass
Travis Chaudoir was born on December 2nd, 1975 in Rockford Illinios. At age twenty-five he moved to Durango, Colorado and began his glass blowing career. After a few years learning the basics Travis moved to Boulder, Colorado, where he was able to meet other glass workers and build on his base of knowledge. On a chance trip to a local antique store, he found a wonderful 1848 Baccarat paperweight which began his journey into the paperweight world.
In 2009 Travis opened Sage & Solitude Glass, focusing on producing the highest quality paperweights possible. With a strong interest in millefiori, Travis has brought picture canes back to paperweight production. Since 2006, Travis has been building a collection of quality paperweights that reflect styles from all over the world. With plans to open a museum, Travis hopes to bring the beauty of paperweights to the public. These paperweights, murrina slices, buttons, and marbles are made by a collector for the collector.
